The room is arranged as a lived-in still life: two sons, a cat and studio objects held within an interior that opens through a window onto fields and hills. The window acts as both a frame and a hinge between spaces, pushing landscape to the far register while the foreground stays busy with domestic and working materials. Beyond the opening, the artist appears outdoors, placed just past the window’s view.
