Viewed from above, the studio pond becomes a field of overlapping lily pads, stems and reflections. Rounded leaf forms alternate with darker water, while thin vertical strokes mark stems rising through the surface. Depth is carried by colour relationships and tonal shift rather than by descriptive detail.
