Seen from a balcony, the Music House interior is broken into doorways, stairwells and balustrades that create overlapping zones of foreground and depth. Angled planes and framed views steer the eye through the space, while reflective surfaces complicate the viewpoint. A paintbrush cuts diagonally across the composition, anchoring the scene in the act of painting.
